1 Corinthians 4:6
6: Dear brothers and sisters, I have used Apollos and myself to illustrate what I've been saying. If you pay attention to the Scriptures, you won't brag about one of your leaders at the expense of another.
1 Corinthians 1:12
- Some of you are saying, "I am a follower of Paul." Others are saying, "I follow Apollos," or "I follow Peter, "or "I follow only Christ."

- So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve.
2 Corinthians 4:15

- Who is Apollos, and who is Paul, that we should be the cause of such quarrels? Why, we're only servants. Through us God caused you to believe. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us.
- My job was to plant the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God, not we, who made it grow.
- The ones who do the planting or watering aren't important, but God is important because he is the one who makes the seed grow.
1 Corinthians 5:6
- How terrible that you should boast about your spirituality, and yet you let this sort of thing go on. Don't you realize that if even one person is allowed to go on sinning, soon all will be affected?
1 Corinthians 4:18
- I know that some of you have become arrogant, thinking I will never visit you again.
- But I will come--and soon--if the Lord will let me, and then I'll find out whether these arrogant people are just big talkers or whether they really have God's power.
